Hussein Al Zalabieh · FounderMy name is Hussein Al Zalabieh. I have spent my whole life in Wadi Rum and have worked as a guide and climbing instructor for many years.
Together with my British wife, I founded Wadi Rum Star Beds. It is our pleasure to share our desert life with you, whether you travel solo, as a couple, with friends or as a family.
Say helloOn arrival we light a fire and make tea while your host cooks a zarb, a Bedouin barbecue of chicken and vegetables cooked underground. After dinner we share stories of Bedouin life, the Romans and the Nabateans, then the stars come out. Wake to sunrise over the desert.
Families with children of all ages are very welcome. We slow our jeep tours to a gentle pace. Children can climb and sledge down the dunes on our sand board, ride camels, help gather firewood and learn about rock inscriptions and Bedouin culture. Meals can be adapted with plain, unspiced food.
Payment is in cash (Jordanian Dinars) only. There are no banks or ATMs in Wadi Rum Village, so bring enough for your stay.
